The Friday Cometh

But really, though, what's the fun in partying every day? The whole point of coming out to UIBE (The University of International Business and Economics) here in Beijing was to gain an education that's going to earn my absolute shitpiles of money - that's just not going to happen watching a bunch of drunk Europeans drink flaming B-52's and verbally abuse the waiter.

Actually I did a bad thing last night - I not only allowed a waiter to rip off some of my least favorite classmates, I actually encouraged it. Sometimes when you're the only guy who speaks Chinese in the group, it's better to side with the Chinese guy. Especially since he's the one bringing your beers.

But anyway, tonight is a different story. Who knows what the evening will hold? I'm thinking probably a lot of beer and maybe me getting lost on my bicycle again on the way home from the bar. But that's a story for another day. Chances are we'll end up at Sanlitun, Beijing's most famous bar street and foreigner-rip-off spot.

The amazing thing is, there's this little alleyway right off of Sanlitun that has all kinds of excellent, small bars and restaurants that are more geared toward my style of chillout - no booty music, and they even sell glass pieces outside - although I just broke mine last night...but what the hell, easy come, easy go, right? I'll just have to get another one...

Vive le Friday!
