"You know," I thought, shampooing my hair this morning, "I should really find a way to link Google Adsense and Analytics reporting so I can find out which of my Google Adsense blocks have the best click-through rate."

Then, I get in front of the computer this morning and see that Google has just linked their Adsense and Analytics Services. Score one, Google, for literally reading my freakin' mind.

It's a very simple process to integrate Google Adsense and Google Analytics to track your Adsense through your Analytics account. If you only advertise on one site, you won't even have to modify your adsense code; if you advertise on multiple sites, you'll have to make a small modification to the adsense code.

Since I use Wordpress and Drupal integrated with Google Adsense ads, I'm going to have to wait for an update to the Google Adsense plugins that enables support Google Analytics integration. In the meantime, I've enabled the adsense/analytics integration on a single site, my zombie blog, The Zombiephiles, so we'll see how it goes.

Rock on, Google! Way to put the power back in people's hands. Now I can get detailed analytics and statistics about my Google Adsense blocks directly from my Google Analytics account.
